Youth Summer Sign-Up Day will be March 12 in Ogallala

The Mid-Plains Community College Ogallala Campus will host its annual Youth Summer Sign-Up Day March 12.

The event provides a “one-stop shop” for parents looking for summer activities for their children. It saves families time and effort by bringing local youth organizations under one roof to provide details and answer questions about their upcoming events. 

Booths will be set up from 3:30-6 p.m. in the Ogallala Auditorium, 514 E. B St. The event is free to attend and for participating organizations.

Information about the Try It Out Thursday summer youth program at the MPCC Ogallala Campus will also be available at that time.

The one-day classes will begin June 6 and continue through July 18. They include:

• Backyard Bird Zone
• Cowboy 101
• Fabric Scrap Rope Bowl
• Let’s Go Fly a Kite
• Let’s Get Veggie
• Picasso Peace Flower Art
• On-the-Go Game Bag
• Discover Scuba
• Tiny Treasure
• True to the Red, White & Blue
