Scholarships

The Mid-Plains Community College scholarship application deadline is March 1 each year.

Scholarships are available to help you pay for college and may be awarded to recognize academic or other achievements.

To be eligible for institutional scholarships, you must have a high school diploma or GED and be enrolled in a degree, diploma, or certificate program. To qualify, you must have submitted a complete scholarship application by the March 1 deadline.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA RANGES

H.S. GPA or  ACT SCORE % OF TUITION COVERED BY SCHOLARSHIP
3.8+ 25+ Presidential Scholarship - 100%
3.5-3.79 23-24 Vice Presidential Scholarship - 75%
3.25-3.49 21-22 Dean's Scholarship - 50%

*This dollar amount is based on the cost of 30 credits for in-state resident.

  • The percentages listed above reflect the percentage of tuition covered and may be comprised of various sources (institutional and foundation scholarships and/or tuition waivers). If, for example, you receive an institutional scholarship that meets or exceeds your tuition cost, you will not be awarded a tuition waiver in addition to that. If awarded a tuition waiver, the student is still responsible for fees ($16 per credit hour).
  • These scholarships are only guaranteed if your application is received by March 1 and you must reapply for them each year.
  • Percentages are based on 15 credit hours of tuition per semester - $3,420 annual tuition based on 30 credits and the 2026-27 tuition rates.
  • Applicants who do not qualify for guaranteed scholarships are still eligible for program specific and other special scholarships.
  • Recipients of multiple institutional scholarships intended to be used for the same purpose (i.e. tuition and fees) will be awarded the scholarship that is most beneficial. Scholarships intended for the same purpose cannot be stacked.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

All students must apply for admission before they can complete the scholarship application. You will have access to the MPCC Scholarship Application through your MyMPCC apps (or by following the link above) after you have received your login information.

Questions? Contact the financial aid office at finaid@mpcc.edu or call 308-221-6444.

Most scholarships are awarded for the academic year and are not automatically renewed. You must meet the terms of the scholarship during the fall semester to keep the scholarship for the spring. Institutional scholarships are split evenly between the fall and spring semesters and will not be offered for the summer term. Scholarship selection will be made by the scholarship committee unless otherwise stipulated.
