Scholarships

Scholarships are available to help you pay for college and may be awarded to recognize academic or other achievements.

To be eligible for institutional scholarships you must have completed high school or have a GED and you must be working on a degree, diploma, or certificate program. Institutional scholarships are guaranteed if your application is received by March 15. Applications must submitted each year. 

2024-2025 SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA RANGES

H.S. GPA or  ACT SCORE % OF TUITION COVERED BY SCHOLARSHIP
3.8+ 25+ Presidential Scholarship - 100%
3.5-3.79 23-24 Vice Presidential Scholarship - 75%
3.25-3.49 21-22 Dean's Scholarship - 50%

*This dollar amount is based on the cost of 30 credits for in-state resident.

Scholarships only pay for tuition. The student is responsible for fees ($16 per credit hour).

Percentages are based on 15 credits of tuition per semester or 30 credits per year.

Applicants who do not qualify for guaranteed scholarships are still eligible for program specific and other special scholarships.

Recipients of multiple institutional scholarships intended to be used for the same purpose (i.e. tuition and fees) will be awarded the scholarship that is most beneficial. Scholarships intended for the same purpose cannot be stacked. 

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

All students must apply for Admission to MPCC. You will have access to the MPCC Scholarship Application through your MyMPCC apps (or by following the link above) after you have received your login information.

Most scholarships are awarded for the academic year. You must meet the terms of the scholarship during the fall semester to keep the scholarship for the spring. Scholarship selection will be made by the scholarship committee unless otherwise stipulated.

Susan T. Buffett Scholarship

Up to $4,800 per year for full-time MPCC students, renewable for 3 years.

Peter Kiewit Foundation Scholarship

$3,000 for up to 15 Peter Kiewit Scholars, renewable for two years. Students must be full-time and enrolled in a vocational certificate or degree programs at North Platte Community College. Contact Jacob Brandl at 308-535-3713 for application details and deadline.


Nebraska Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Door To College Scholarship

This scholarship provides up to $5,000 per year toward the educational expenses of undergraduate students enrolled at Nebraska postsecondary educational institutions who graduated high school from a Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center (YRTC) or from an approved or accredited public, private, nondenominational, or parochial high school after being discharged from a YRTC.
