MPCC Registration Days coming in April

Mid-Plains Community College will offer a series of Registration Days beginning in April and continuing through the summer.

The events are scheduled for Tuesdays, April 12, May 24, June 21 and July 19 in North Platte and Thursdays, April 14, May 26, June 23 and July 21 in McCook.

“Registration Days provides prospective students with an opportunity to connect with staff and faculty, complete enrollment processes and ensure they are on track to start their college career successfully,” said Mindy Hope, director of Recruiting and Admissions.    

Students will be able to take placement tests and representatives will be on hand to answer questions about:

• Class scheduling
• Financial aid
• Payment expectations
• Bookstores
• Career services
• Advising
• Library services
• Student Success/tutors
• Disability services
• Student life
• Student organizations
• Campus housing

“We have decided to incorporate a theme this year to add fun and enthusiasm for students and their guests,” Hope said. “We will be using Monopoly references to guide them through each day’s agenda, and, in addition to the information and resources they’ll obtain, students can collect play money to bring back to New Student Orientation in August to use for prizes such as MPCC apparel.”
