Red Cross meets goal at NPCC blood drive
Jada Grigsby, of Fresno, Texas, donates blood during an American Red Cross blood drive Tuesday afternoon at the North Platte Community College South Campus. Sixteen people donated a total of 12 units of blood, which was the goal for the day.
“We’re so grateful for those who took the time out of their day to come donate blood, especially this close to the holidays when donations generally decline,” said Amanda Wehnes, Red Cross account manager. “We truly value our partnership with NPCC to be able to work together to serve our patients.”
The next blood drive is scheduled for Jan. 25 in the concessions area of the McDonald-Belton Building on the NPCC South Campus.
Donors are urged to make an appointment ahead of time using the free American Red Cross Blood Donor App, by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or by enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.
