Mid-Plains Community College students prepare to post their dreams on an “I Have a Dream” board in the McDonald-Belton Building in North Platte Monday. The board was part of the college’s celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, organized by the Student Life department.
Students were also treated to snacks and, later in the day, watched “Selma,” a historical movie based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery marches for voting rights, in the McDonald-Belton Theater. Similar activities were conducted on the McCook Campus.
