Three MCC students attend FBLA career conference
Three McCook Community College students attended the Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate Career Connections Conference Nov. 3-5 in Omaha.
MCC students who attended the conference included Krysta Henning, student senate representative; Leslie Hernandez, vice president of public relations; and Hannah Willis, president.
This is a conference focused on connecting individuals with leading employers. Participants learned about what it takes to succeed in a challenging job market—interviewing techniques, building personal brands, and navigating early careers.
The MCC group was able to meet with young professionals and receive tips and tricks from executive level leadership, networked with both members of the business community and like-minded students from around the country, and had the chance to refine their personal brand with resume reviews.
MCC students and co-advisor Lorrie Mowry joined with others for a tour of Gallup’s Omaha office, Union Pacific, and the Omaha Zoo.
