MCC Phi Beta Lambda earns top awards at leadership conference
The McCook Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda was awarded the Gold Level status and brought home the Overall Excellence Award recently at the Nebraska Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate state leadership conference in Kearney.
This is the fourth time in the last five years, MCC has claimed the Overall Excellence Award for two-year colleges.
Four McCook Community College students participated in this year’s conference.
Hannah Willis brought home a third-place award in business law, fourth place in client services, eighth place in entrepreneurship concepts and ninth place in computer concepts. She was also named a recipient of Who’s Who in Nebraska FBLA.
Leslie Hernandez won fourth place in networking concepts and participated in the entrepreneurship concepts and marketing concepts events.
Krysta Henning competed in the job interview competition, marketing concepts and microeconomics.
Emilee Hanke competed in entrepreneurship concepts, foundations of finance and management concepts.
