Knights Barbecue Cook-Off
About the Cook-Off
The inaugural Knights Barbecue Cook-off will be held on April 20 at the North Platte Community College South Campus Pavilion. Eighty percent of the proceeds will go to foundation scholarships and 20 percent will be donated back to the homeless shelter.
The public is invited to partake in the festivities, which in addition of the meal, includes music, games and a roping demonstration. The cost to purchase a plate is $10.
Team registration and complete set of rules can be found using the links below. Teams must attend a general information meeting at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 19 at the pavilion where meat and containers will be handed out. Cooking can begin following the meeting.
Prizes for Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion will also be awarded. The Grand Champion will win a barrel smoker, and Reserve Grand Champion will receive a barbecue gift basket.
